The action originates/works from the belief that socially-engaged art practices and participatory design (including architectural, public space, performative and media frameworks) are mutually influencing fields of inquiry that do not yet mingle and overlap at a discursive level as often as they should.
Being conceptual neighbours, these two fields share concerns such as a regard for social issues and ‘site’ conditions, sustainability, and the role of presence and familiarity. The aim of the project is to develop temporary and sustainable conversations, with people and between these communities of practice..
